OOo contains the module “soldep” that produces output that allows to show only parts of the module tree (otherwise you don’t see the forest for the trees ;-)). Unfortunately it does not run out of the box and it needs some hacking to run the binary. You can find some examples for the output from soldep here:
Interesting. The picture I posted is indeed quite useless (other than for entertainment), so it certainly makes sense to split the dependency graph into groups.
